The project consisted of a large two storey mental health unit in North Cardiff with several wings radiating from a central point.

Efficiencies were gained by working collaboratively with the contractor to enable the use of precast column and twin wall precast wall construction throughout.

The floor utilises a 'filigree' precast soffit that becomes composite with top insitu concrete portion. This system enables fast high quality flat slab construction to be achieved.

The project also included the use of SuDS techniques to dispose of surface water which comprised of a mixture of conventional soakaway devices, infiltration trenches and permeable paving which were developed to ensure compatibility with the existing and proposed soft landscaping.
