The Urban Quarter Strand building is part of Swansea’s new £25m Urban Village regeneration project located in the popular SA1 district.

The Strand building itself is a seven storey steel framed braced structure with a composite concrete deck and will be used solely as affordable accommodation. An undercroft car park will be provided at ground level together with various M&E plant rooms and refuse area. To the rear of the building a 7.7m high Permacrib wall will be designed and constructed to retain the large embankment and define the level difference between Strand Road and High Street.


3D modelling software has been used for both design and technical drawing work which has given excellent project efficiencies and coordination with the other various disciplines.


RVW consulting has also been engaged to undertake the civil engineering works comprising of full drainage design together with S278 and S104 agreements.
