Six storey reinforced concrete frame flat slab for residential apartments with ground level car parking in an undercroft.

Careful co-ordination with the architect ensured that column positions suited both the apartments above and the car park below without requiring any costly transfer structure in between.

Advanced piling techniques enabled the building to be supported on piled foundations through the old historic dock buried over 10m below ground level.

The project also included surface water storage design in line with the requirements of Newport City Council, to ensure that the site did not become flooded during times of high-water levels in the adjacent River Usk.
