Barney has over 20 years experience within the construction industry. He has extensive experience in providing engineering services within the consultancy sector, leading teams, advising Clients and providing detailed engineered solutions.
Barney has gained considerable design experience working in wide and varied projects such as residential, education, health, office, industrial and retail. Including projects such as Talybont Student Accommodation, Cardiff University Optometry Building, Llandough Adult Mental Health Unit, Capital Quarter Office Development.

Simon has considerable experience in civil and structural engineering, especially in the field of structural engineering where he has over 25 years experience. Simon has been involved with several structurally challenging and innovative projects. He is responsible for key accounts with clients such as the Welsh Assembly Government, Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust, Swansea University, Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust.
Ray has a wealth of experience and technical knowledge and continues to be an active engineer supporting several clients from feasibility stages through to construction. With a career spent in the field of structural engineering he has an intrinsic capability in the development of efficient structural solutions. An excellent team member who enjoys the interactive consideration of projects within a team, he has a great ability to extend logic and reasoning to others.
Associate Director/BIM Manager
Ryan joined RVW in 1997 at the age of 16 and during this time has gathered a wealth of experience helping him to manage and deliver projects both for our public and private sector clients.
Ryan is responsible for managing a team of engineering technicians in delivering schemes ranging from healthcare projects, residential, custodial, education, leisure and office developments.
Ryan manages our BIM software products, develops, implements and enforces BIM standards and workflow for specific projects. Ryan is always eager to actively promote BIM to external parties and encourage personal learning within RVW along with continual professional development.
John is a structural engineer with 20 years technical design and management experience.
John is responsible for delivering a wide ranging variety of projects encompassing hospitals, universities, schools, theatres, leisure centres, process factory facilities, industrial units and residential buildings.
Apart from the new build environment, John has gained vast experience working on challenging refurbishment projects in all of the above mentioned sectors.
He has developed strong long lasting client relationships throughout his career.
His excellent technical ability and management skills ensure the delivery of projects to a high standard and to programme.
